my most asked questions

by torie Egger | November 29, 2o23

I get questions daily on my social media about the gear I use, editing softwares and etc. I thought writing this blog post would be best because then I can send you a link instead of typing an answer out every time.

I shoot all my photo and videos on the Canon R5. I love the raw tones of this camera and the quality. A good beginner camera is the Canon EOS T7i.

I edited all my photos on Adobe Lightroom Classic. This software is one that majority of photographers use. I love it because I am able to be detailed with my color editing and the newer masking tools are very help. I also use Adobe photoshop Beta and that has been a game changer. Photoshop is even easier to work with now that AI has been invented. You can find these softwares on Adobe.com.

I use presets I created and currently they are not for sale. The Annie Graham Yosemite presets or the Tribe Archipalego presets are both good options.

My three most used lenses are the Canon RF 28-70 2.0 L USM, Canon EF 35mm 1.4 L II usm and the EF 70-200mm 2.8 L IS III USM. My Canon 28-70 is used for all my portrait work. My Canon 35mm I used to use for portraits before I got the Canon 28-70mm. My Canon 70-200mm is used for my western lifestyle and livestock work. I use both of these for video and I use a monopod to stabilize my Canon 70-200mm. Most of the time I am stabilizing with my free hand.

what are your favorite lenses?

For video I edit on Davinci Resolve. You can find this software on the Apple app store. They have a free version which I currently use and many other videographers edit with this software. My main Lut that I edit with is the Aaron B 112 lut.
